Following the backlash over her beheaded Trump photo in 2017, Kathy Griffin said that her career was over. Griffin was fired from CNN and denounced by politicians and celebrities alike. Many of her 2017 performances were canceled, but Griffin will return to to the stage in 2018.
"I'm dipping my toes into touring again even though the Trumps and nobody wants me to work again," she said on Real Time with Bill Maher. "I just booked today, I'm going to do a show at Carnegie Hall in New York and I'm also going to go right to Trump's back yard and do a show at the Kennedy Center."
Griffin spoke frankly with Maher about the months since the photo, about her difficulty flying and phone calls with the Department of Justice, as well as the Trump administration's remarks about her.

Griffin is, as she says, dipping her toes into performing, without a full tour but by testing the waters with this upcoming show. Given the buzz around her, we have a feeling ticket sales will be just fine.
