The family ArchivesMarvel Cinematic Universe has trained us to stay until the very end of its movie credits for a sneak peek at the studio's upcoming films, and when The Defendersdropped on Netflix on Friday morning, we discovered that the House of M has now brought that sly sensibility to its small-screen offerings too.
Loyal fans who stuck around until the end of the Defenderscredits (despite Netflix minimizing them in an attempt to entice you into clicking away to another suggested title) were treated to a sneak peek at Marvel and Netflix's next collaboration, The Punisher, starring Jon Bernthal as the troubled vigilante Frank Castle, which Netflix has now released via YouTube.

In voiceover, Frank ominously intones, "All the things that I’d done; memories… they never hurt me. But the past, it’s more than memories... it’s the devil you sold your soul to. He’s coming. He’s coming to collect."
The voiceover is accompanied by brief shots of Frank's time in the Marine Corps, including his apparent involvement in the torture of a prisoner, and the bodies he leaves behind in his quest for vengeance following the events of DaredevilSeason 2.

While the teaser doesn't confirm an exact premiere date, if the series follows Marvel and Netflix's previous release schedule, November is a fairly safe bet.
