"With unerring honesty and lively wit, she describes her triumphs and her disappointments, both public and private, telling her full story as she has lived it—in her own words and on her own terms," the description reads.
The book's "deep reflection and mesmerizing storytelling" will explore Obama's unseen journey from child to woman to wife, mother, and America's first black First Lady.
The book will cost $32.50 in the U.S. and $40.00 in Canada according to a press release. One million copies will also be donated in the Obama family’s name to First Book — a nonprofit working to ensure children in need have access to new books and learning materials in the U.S. and Canada.
Becoming, which will be released in 24 languages, along with an audio edition read by Obama herself, will release globally on Nov. 13, 2018 from Penguin Random House.
