Food delivery giant Meituan recently set up a new company in Chengdu080p Archives a major city in southwest China, targeting the development of artificial intelligence robots, according to the corporate database Qichacha. A subsidiary of Meituan has an indirect wholly-owned stake in the new company, Qichacha shows. The newly established firm is the latest of more than a dozen tech-related companies that Meituan has set up in the last two months, though the life services giant has not released any official statement on the move.
