The Farmer’s Wife: Handle with Care! Part 1: Angel Adventlatest rumor about World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) is that Apple's new operating system could support even fewer Macs than previously expected.
As tech-focused outlet Tom's Guide wrote, rumors have long suggested the new MacOS will be called Tahoe and that it'll drop support for older MacBooks and Macs. The models that were expected to be dropped were the 2017 iMac Pro, 2018 Mac mini, 2018 MacBook Pro models, and 2020 MacBook Airs with Intel chips. MacRumors, however, published a reportindicating that the new OS could also drop support for the 2020, 13-inch MacBook Pro with two Thunderbolt 3 ports.
This report, however, comes with a major caveat. MacRumors' report cited "a private account on X with a proven track record of leaking information about Apple's software platforms," and the account also apparently wrote it didn't "quite believe" that Apple would actually drop OS support for the model.
In short, this is very much a rumorand not a fact. That's not to say it definitely isn't true, just that there still remains uncertainty ahead of Apple's WWDC keynote on Monday.
