Apple's controversial MacBook Pros launched to much criticism last fall.

At WWDC 2017, Apple announced updated 13- and 15-inch MacBook Pros with 7th-gen Intel Core processors.
SEE ALSO: People really love Apple's AirPods, but they still look ridiculousThe 13-inch MacBook Pro now comes with 2.3GHz dual-core Core i5 or 3.1GHz dual-core processors, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of SSD storage. They also come with Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 (non-Touch Bar) and Iris Plus Graphics 650 (Touch Bar).
The 15-inch MacBook Pro has either a 2.8GHz quad-core Core i7 processor or 2.9GHz quad-core Core i7, up to 16GB of RAM (ugh, no 32GB of RAM), and up to 2TB of SSD. For graphics, it comes with Radeon Pro 555 with 2GB of GDDR5 memory and automatic graphics switching between Intel HD Graphics 630, or Radeon Pro 560 with 4GB of GDDR5 memory and automatic graphics switching with HD Graphics 630.
Aside from the much-needed performance bump, everything else about the MacBook Pros is the same. The refreshed aluminum design, flatter keyboard, massive trackpad, and Retina displays are identical the predecessors.
Battery life is also the same, with up to 10 hours of web browsing, and up to 11 hours of iTunes movie playback.
Both MacBook Pro sizes are available in silver or space gray. The 13-inch MacBook Pro starts at $1,299 (a $200 drop) without Touch Bar and $1,799 with Touch Bar. The 15-inch with Touch Bar will cost $2,399.
