Think only heavyweights like Samsung and humor in eroticismLG can create smartphones with nearly no bezel? A new Chinese company called Maze Mobile is set to challenge that notion, with an upcoming smartphone that's pretty much all screen on the front.
All that's officially known about the Maze Alpha right now is a landing page on the company website, which shows that the phone has a dual camera on the back.

A leaked set of specs, courtesy of prolific leaker Evan Blass, says the device will be quite powerful, with a 6-inch full HD screen, an octa-core chip, 4 or 6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storage. Those cameras on the back will have a Sony signature, and one of them will have a 13-megapixel sensor. The phone will run on Android Nougat.

While those specs (if real) are nothing to scoff at, the phone's most important feature will likely be the price. Maze already has a product on the market, a far more conventional affair called the Maze Blade. But that phone -- which has a 5.5-inch screen, an octa-core chip, a 13-megapixel camera and a fingerprint sensor -- currently costs only $139.99. If Maze prices the Alpha nearly as affordably as the Blade, it could be a game-changer, especially in regions like India.
Maze Mobile has actually been around since 2012, but it started as an OEM manufacturer. Now the company boasts more than 850 employees and a research and development team with more than 80 engineers.
There's no precise launch date for the Alpha, and there's no word on availability outside of China. The company's other phone, the Blade, is available from a number of retail sites, such as GearBest and Igogo.es.
