In the one-minute video, the actor sits in front of some beautiful scenery, listing his ~deep~ interests in a monotone voice as though he's reading a poem.

Watch it for yourself, and it will probably come as no surprise that Twitter users were quick to turn it into a meme.

After @tireddeaky uploaded a cut version of the video to Twitter (removing the part where Malek says he's a fan of Mandarin Oriental,) people couldn't help but express how strange they found the actor's awkward confessional to be.

If anything, maybe this weird ad will open more doors for Malek... as the star of a creepy serial killer thriller. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
