CAMS, a company in which Volkswagen China owns a 35% stake, said it had built 13,112 EV chargers at 1,621 locations in China as of Oct. 11, 2024. Xpeng operates more than 1,880 charging stations, including approximately 9,680 ultra-fast chargers, in more than 420 Chinese cities. Volkswagen, a major backer of Xpeng since 2023, is scheduled to launch two car models incorporating Xpeng’s autonomous driving software next year.
