The Chinese manufacturer announced an Oct. 30 event for the official release of the OnePlus 6T, an updated version of the popular OnePlus 6 smartphone.

The OnePlus 6T is said to have an in-display fingerprint sensor. It wouldn't be the first consumer smartphone to have such a feature — phones from Oppo and Vivo already include it — but the 6T will be the first device aggressively marketed out outside of Asia to have it, a big step for the tech.
The rumored starting price for the OnePlus 6T is $529, although we wouldn't be surprised if it's a bit lower, especially now that the company has a carrier partner at launch for the first time: T-Mobile. In the past, OnePlus typically offered unlocked devices for sale via the internet.
Other things we're expecting from the OnePlus 6T: a Snapdragon 845 chip, 6GB of RAM, and a dual-camera system. It should have a larger 6.4-inch display with a smaller notch than the current OnePlus 6.
We're expecting more leaks as we approach the launch date. Last week we saw a press shot leak out, but we could see a repeat of the Pixel 3 leaks if a 6T gets out in the wild.
Check back on Oct. 30 for the full story on the OnePlus 6T.
